"GROUNDWATER ORDINANCE MEETING ON WAVE CABLE CHANNEL 21

Unfortunately, the "Media" in Woodland did not pick up on the events at the August 20, 2008
"Groundwater Ordinance" meeting presented by the Yolo County Taxpayers Association, held at the Leake Room of the Woodland Public Library.

In that meeting, presentations by Robyn Drivon, County Counsel, Joe Scalmanini, Engineer and Robert Millsap, Attorney provided valuable information regarding the water issues in Yolo County.

Robyn Drivon started the meeting by bringing a bag filled with Shreded paper, saying the proposed draft ordinace had been scrapped (for now).

Joe Scalmanini presented one of the most informative presentations we have seen regarding this issue, and was backed up by Robert Millsap discussing the legal aspects.

You can view this presentation on WAVE CABLE on Wednesday August 27, 2008 at 10:00a.m. and again on Friday August 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

We urge you to watch this presentation.

After attending this presentation, the Moderator of this Blog felt more informed and left the meeting convinced that this or any other proposed ordinance is ill-advised and unnecessary.

Thank you YCTA for presenting this excellent forum.
