The point made is the tank, which apparently has almost doubled in price, is not critical. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;In looking online, I think the options staff has come up with are very limited and way overpriced. I saw that some communities paid less than $1 million for a 400,000 gallon tank. Of course that was a couple of years ago... but you can compare $2.5 million and $1 million.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Also not considered is the landmark quality of the structure. Some communities make the tanks into a source of community pride or tourist attraction.
